Eclipse Delivery Guarantee — Terms & Conditions

Arrives before the eclipse — or it’s free.

If your eligible order is not delivered before the eclipse, we will refund the full amount paid for the eligible order, including the eligible express delivery charge, subject to the conditions below.

1. Eligibility

The Eclipse Delivery Guarantee applies only to orders that:

  • are placed while the Delivery Guarantee is displayed as available on our website;
  • are placed before the applicable order cut-off time shown on our website;
  • are shipped using an eligible express delivery service, including DHL Express or FedEx where offered at checkout; and
  • are being delivered to a destination for which the Delivery Guarantee is offered.

There is no €135 order-value limit for deliveries within the European Union.

For deliveries to the United Kingdom, consignments with a total value above £135 are not eligible for this Delivery Guarantee.

UK consignments above £135 are subject to the standard UK import process and may require customs clearance, payment of import VAT, duties or other charges, or action by the recipient before delivery can be completed.

2. What we guarantee

An eligible order must be successfully delivered before the eclipse begins at the delivery destination.

If an eligible order is delivered only after the eclipse has begun, and none of the exclusions below apply, the customer is entitled to a refund under this guarantee.

3. What “free” means

If the Delivery Guarantee applies, we will refund the full amount paid for the eligible order, including the original eligible express delivery charge.

The customer may keep the products.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

4. Recipient-related delays

The Delivery Guarantee does not apply where delivery could not be completed on time because of an action, omission or information provided by the recipient, including:

  • an incorrect or incomplete delivery address or postcode;
  • incorrect telephone number, email address or other contact information;
  • the recipient being unavailable when delivery is attempted;
  • refusal of delivery;
  • failure to collect the parcel from a service point, pickup location, parcel locker or courier depot;
  • requesting a later delivery date or delivery time;
  • changing or redirecting the delivery address;
  • requesting that the courier hold the shipment;
  • failure to respond promptly to the courier, customs authority or us;
  • failure to provide identification, customs information or other requested documentation;
  • failure or refusal to pay applicable import VAT, customs duties, clearance fees or other charges required for delivery; or
  • any other circumstance where the recipient materially causes or contributes to the delay.

If the courier attempts delivery before the eclipse but cannot complete the delivery because of a recipient-related reason, the Delivery Guarantee will be considered fulfilled.

5. Customs and import clearance

Where customs or import clearance requires information, documentation, payment or any other action from the recipient, the recipient must complete that action promptly.

The Delivery Guarantee does not apply if delivery is delayed because the recipient fails to complete the required action in sufficient time.

For United Kingdom deliveries, consignments above £135 are excluded from the guarantee because different UK import VAT rules apply above that consignment-value threshold.

6. Courier delays

If the customer has fulfilled all delivery requirements and DHL Express, FedEx or another eligible courier simply delivers the eligible shipment too late, the Delivery Guarantee applies.

The guarantee does not apply where delivery is prevented by exceptional circumstances outside our reasonable control and the reasonable control of the courier, including severe weather, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, airport or airspace closures, government restrictions or major widespread transport disruption.

7. Claims

Claims under the Eclipse Delivery Guarantee must be submitted within 7 days after the eclipse.

Customers should contact our customer service team and provide their order number.

We will verify the delivery or attempted-delivery date and time using the courier’s tracking records.

8. Fraud and misuse

We reserve the right to reject a claim where there is reasonable evidence of:

  • deliberate refusal of delivery;
  • deliberate interference with the delivery process;
  • intentionally incorrect delivery information;
  • manipulation of courier delivery instructions;
  • fraudulent claims; or
  • any attempt to intentionally cause a shipment to qualify for the Delivery Guarantee.

9. Statutory rights

The Eclipse Delivery Guarantee is a voluntary promotional promise provided in addition to the customer’s statutory consumer rights.

It does not limit, exclude or replace any rights available under applicable consumer law. EU consumers continue to benefit from their mandatory statutory consumer protections independently of this promotional guarantee.
