I ordered these for the recent solar eclipse. They worked as needed even though they had some minor cosmetic flaws they were so much better than the cardboard ones.
I didn’t test these out during the 2024 eclipse because the lenses were wavy/bubbled and there was debris under the tint. I didn’t feel comfortable wearing lenses in that state to look at the sun. The frames though are very sturdy and have a super cool glow- I popped the lenses out and use them for just glow fashion now
The glasses in the photo aren’t crooked, my head is.
FIT:
I have a pretty wide head and it’s hard to find prescription frames wide enough to fit comfortably. These Eclipse glasses fit over my glasses no problem.
Safety:
Being approved and listed on the AAS site is what brought me to this seller, so I know they are trust worthy and safe for solar viewing.
GLOW IN THE DARK:
When not glowing in the dark the frames are translucent white. Which is what you’ll expect them to look like during most of the partial ecplise phases.
Being translucent, I do worry that the frames around the dark lenses will be bright and a bit distracting.
The glow in the dark aspect won’t be apparent until totality, when you’ll need to take them off to view the eclipse.
It will add to the things to observe during the total eclipse. One might call that a distraction, but I call it fun!
I tested the glow by charging it for just seconds with a UV flashlight.
While the brightest glow seemed to fade pretty quick, it had a strong glow, visible in dimmed lighting for quite a long while. Should last through the eclipse totality with a satisfactory glow.
DURABILITY:
The frames feel similar to any other low cost plastic sunglasses. Sturdy enough for me, but children may need to be a bit more careful with them.
Seem like they’re much sturdier than paper glasses!
The lenses are hard, not the film you find on paper eclipse glasses.
CONCLUSION:
I feel safe and I’m pretty happy with these glasses.
They fit on a large head and would fit other head sizes. They fit over my prescription glasses. ISO Certified And AAA approved, I
Would definitely recommend a pair for anyone wanting to jazz up an eclipse viewing party!
I’ll try and update my review after the April 8th 2024 eclipse.

Gravitis Glow-in-the-Dark Solar Eclipse Glasses 2024
REVIEW
I like these eclipse sunglasses over traditional "paper" sunglasses. There are some minor flaws in the lens coating but for a one day use it is fine. They seem to be sturdy and should hold up well. I'll let you know if we have any issues on the next eclipse.
RECOMMENDATION
I do recommend the glasses.
I like this glow-in-the-dark solar eclipse glasses. They came well-packed and glow in the dark as advertised (see pictures). While I'm eagerly awaiting the 2024 eclipse next month to put them to the test, I can tell they're well made and live up to their description. The fact that they glow in the dark is a fun and unique feature that sets them apart from the flimsy paper ones I've used in the past. They are more durable as well. I'm can't wait to use them during the eclipse. If you're in need of reliable and stylish eclipse glasses, look no further!

Look good and protect your eyes while doing it. These are certified ISO 12312-2:2015 so they will protect your eyes. And, they glow in the dark when charged with bright light.
These are not quality glasses in any way. The plastic is cheaply molded with raw seam edges. The lenses are a disappointment. They are very scratched up and they look like somebody just put some cut pieces of leftover window tinting on a cheap pair of kids sunglasses. One of the lenses even has a seam where two pieces are spliced together. They are very dark and would probably still work for viewing the solar eclipse.
Update: I've researched solar glasses and these are now going in the trash. They is no way I will let my children use them. They fail assurance in all three criteria for safe using. They are not on the AAS approved list, they are not ISO certified, and the filter level is not correct.
Finally, a stylish pair of solar eclipse glasses. Not sure why no one else makes them, but these look sharp and are very dark. I recommend them if you are looking for a nice pair.
I ordered these glasses in anticipation of the April 2024 Full Solar Eclipse. I assume that they will be hard to come by as the event date gets closer. They are more or less shaped like a pair of Wayfarers. The plastic is relatively sturdy, and it has a glow-in-the-dark feature which is unnecessary but doesn't get in the way. The hinges actually have a little metal screw, it's not just a plastic pressure fit.
When you put these on in daylight, you really can't see anything. You can look at the sun without frying your retinas because the lens coating blocks virtually all light to the extent that you can look up towards the sun, which will come in handy at the time of the eclipse. Obviously, DO NOT LOOK AT THE SUN WITHOUT SOME TYPE OF PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR.
These are more comfortable than the paper versions available. Since the next Full Solar Eclipse is in like 2054, these only need to last me through the April event. I'm glad I got these sooner than later. They are sturdy and comfortable, and they should work great for the intended purpose. They fit over my regular glasses just fine, or at least good enough for the 5 minutes I'll need them in April.
I am going to see the eclipse and decided I would buy a decent pair of glasses to see it with. These came in record time, but are so extremely dark. I was about 3 " from a light bulb and still had issues seeing it. So with this being said, I'm not sure if these are suitable to use? I will let you know soon! So far, I am worried that I may miss it with these on!
The hinge and plastics feel worse than the free sunglasses you find at conventions.
I bought directly from Absolute Eclipse because they looked reliable, specialist and therefore hopefully safe , as well as being European.
+ve: Absolute Eclipse customer service was super responsive (when my package had not been delivered for a time critical deadline) and enabled me to track it down the same day. A big thank you!
-ve: All the glow-in-the-dark glasses I ordered have (what looks like) a few small spots of glue on the lenses.
:/ The plastic sleeves do not look like they will protect the glasses from scratches because they are flimsy and have (what I presume are regulation safety aeration) holes. I would have hoped for a more substantial plastic sleeve, considering the price of the glasses and the importance of the surface not being damaged in any way.
Unknown: how they will perform in Total Eclipse conditions (but they look good.) We will see in August!
